APAC Strategy

Asian institutions continue to face barriers to accessing Bitcoin, including limited availability of liquid spot ETFs, a lack of institutional-grade custody and trading infrastructure outside key hubs like Hong Kong and Japan, and regulatory uncertainty in jurisdictions such as India, Korea, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

As a result, publicly traded companies that hold Bitcoin directly on their balance sheets may offer a regulated and transparent alternative for gaining exposure to digital assets.

These equity structures provide listed-market access to Bitcoin exposure through conventional brokerage platforms, removing the need for investors to manage custody, wallets, or engage in illiquid OTC transactions. This approach may help mitigate certain operational and regulatory frictions faced by institutional investors in the region.
